How to Use the Playbook

The hiring manager and recruiter should collaborate on building a New Role Hiring Playbook when kicking off a new role. It’s most useful when you haven’t hired for that role before.

1. They will align on why the role is needed now, what that role should hope to accomplish, and which competencies are required to achieve that goal.
2. Next, they should identify who should be part of the interview process (and why), the number of stages required, and what each interview should assess.
3. Once completed, share the New Role Hiring Playbook with the interviewers on the team so everyone is on the same page.

Steps to Access the Template

1. Copy this template to your Notion Workspace. Click “Duplicate” in the upper right corner.
2. Duplicate the below playbook for each new role. Be sure to save the template so you can always come back to it!
